Happy Thoughtful Thursday and April Fool’s Day! ☺️ This week, let’s talk about curiosity. Be curious!
No joke, my friends
General Kenobi is unrelentingly curious. This tiny weirdo is always checking out his environment, testing limits, and just having a good time doing so. He finds joy in the funniest things–a scrap of paper, the cursor on my computer screen, the reflection of my phone screen on the wall–they all fascinate him and he investigates their existence with vim, vigor, and vitality. He reminds me all the time to be curious about my environment.
A natural curiosity is one way to ensure you’re always learning something new. I frequently think to myself, “I wonder how that works?” or “how did they do that?”
I spend a lot of hours researching things I see, hear, and read about, and not one minute of it is wasted time. I love learning about science, technology, new solutions, history, plants, animals, our planet, cultures, the origin of words–I couldn’t possibly name everything. So many things pique my curiosity.
The curious are rarely bored
Walt Disney said, “When you’re curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.” I always have something interesting to do; something new to learn. I’m rarely bored. My insatiable curiosity and the eternal quest for knowledge have made me a life-long learner. I take every opportunity presented to learn something new. I know there’s still so much more to learn and experience, which is what makes life interesting.
So, allow yourself be curious! Approach your life with the joy of learning as your goal. You may find that you are all the happier for it.
